Biffy Clyro announce first AECC gig

Scottish rock trio Biffy Clyro have announced their biggest North East show to date, the gig will take
place at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre’s (AECC’s) Press & Journal Arena on Thursday
25th November 2010. The announcement comes ahead of their UK tour which starts next week and
their appearance on the main stage at T In The Park this summer.
Brian Horsburgh, AECC’s Managing Director says, “North East fans will be delighted to hear this
Scottish band have announced their first arena gig in Aberdeen. Biffy Clyro’s live performances are
renowned and I am sure the demand to see them will be great.”
Childhood friends Simon Neil and twins James and Ben Johnston formed Biffy Clyro in 1995. After
their first three albums, the band’s following expanded greatly with the release of their fourth, Puzzle,
in 2007. Biffy Clyro's popularity continued to grow further in 2008 and 2009 with the release of their
singles "Mountains" and "That Golden Rule", which both reached top 10 in the UK singles chart. Their
recent album, 2009's Only Revolutions reached number 8 in the UK chart.
