| Aberdeen date confirmed for Blink 182 American pop punk band Blink 182 will be appearing at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre’s (AECC’s) Press & Journal Arena for the first time on 16th August 2010. The band, who formed in San Diego in 1992, are best known for their multi million selling album Enema of the State, which included hit singles "What's My Age Again?", "All the Small Things" and "Adam's Song." Brian Horsburgh, AECC’s Managing Director says, “This American band will definitely be a crowd pleaser. The genre of acts that we have confirmed recently shows we can cater for everyone’s tastes at AECC.” After years of working together the three band members, Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker, took a break in February 2005 to pursue solo projects. At the 2009 Grammy Awards they made their first public appearance as a group in four years, where they announced they would be reuniting. The band then went on to tour the US extensively in 2009. Blink 182 have recently announced they will be performing at a variety of festivals in Europe this summer including headlining at the Reading and Leeds festival in August.
