One of Britain’s most influential musicians has announced his 2010 arena tour. Paul Weller otherwise known as “The Modfather” will appear at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre’s (AECC’s) Press & Journal Arena on Sunday 5th December. Paul who was recently crowned this year’s “Godlike Genius” at the NME Awards in February, releases his eagerly anticipated new album “Wake Up The Nation” on April 19th. Paul's new single, the double A-side 'Wake Up The Nation' / No Tears To Cry', will be released on 12th April.
Brian Horsburgh, AECC’s Managing Director said, “Fans will be delighted that a British music legend is returning to Aberdeen. I expect the demand for tickets will be immense.”
The former frontman of The Jam and The Style Council last played to a sell out crowd at the AECC in November 2008 and has confirmed he will be appear at this year’s V Festival in August. This year the Modfather’s arena tour will include highlights from the new album as well as a mix of old hits from his 30-year long career.
