Located just a short walk from Aberdeen’s city centre, The Lemon Tree has had a long, varied and incident-filled existence, but has always remained at the very forefront of both the arts and social scenes in Aberdeen. In the past two decades, it has established itself as one of Scotland’s premier venues for theatre, comedy and music.

The Lemon Tree came into being in 1992 to house the city’s burgeoning rock, comedy and theatre scene, and over the next 15 years it saw some of the finest performers ever to pick up an instrument, tell a joke or tread the boards of a stage.

In 2008 the venue changed ownership, but its credo has remained the same – to foster and showcase the creative talents of Aberdeen and bring both unique and popular national and international talent to the Granite City.

The venue also boasts an excellent café bar, serving freshly-prepared meals Friday through Sunday. Every lunchtime is complimented with a free live performance of Scottish folk and traditional music or jazz.
